Snoqualmie Lift Skiing - 01/24/10

Katie and I went up to Snoqualmie Pass for some lift skiing. We decided to go to Snoqualmie West first for Katie to get her legs back and soon enough she was mastering all of the runs there and we were off to Snoqualmie Central for more action. A temporary whiteout and icy conditions forced us back when we were trying to traverse to central from west, but soon enough we were getting off the shuttle and heading up central's lifts. By the end of the day, Katie was back skiing like a pro. No pictures were taken.

Moonlight Bowl BC Ski - 01/18/10

Brandon and I headed out the next day in search of more good snow. This time it was just the two of us because Katie had to work. We went straight for Stevens Pass again, but this time we went across the street to Skyline Ridge to ski the Moonlight Bowl. We were just about to leave the parking lot when I realized the zipper on my bibs broke and one of my legs was completely open. We searched the parking lot for more duct tape and was able to patch my pants for the day, although I basically wrapped my leg like a splint. We quickly made it to the ridge and descended into the bowl. It was really warm out and the snow was heavy but still very skiable and fun. Yodelin BC Ski - 01/17/10

Katie, Brandon, Bandit and I headed out for Stevens Pass to ski at Yodelin. Neither of us had ever been there and we thought at one point we were off track, but it turned out we were in the right spot. We found much better conditions then expected and had a great day out. Unfortunately, we got onto the wrong road down low and ended up a few miles from our car. After trying to skin next to the highway, we gave up and I ended up walking the road by myself after no car would stop to give me a ride. Soon enough I was rounding the bend and the car was in sight. Katie's 28th Bday - 01/14/10

We celebrated Katie's 28th birthday by going out to dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant in Wallingford and then by having a party at our house the following Saturday Night. It was great to celebrate with her and all of her friends. Even her parents made it out for the party.
