South Lake Washington Bike - 05/31/10

Extremely sore from grooming our wedding site, I decided to join Matt, Emily, and Yaniv for a bike ride. South Lake Washington was what the wanted and I gimped my way around it. No pictures were taken.

Marlee's Wedding - 05/22/10

Kenmore/Brier/Ballard Bike Ride - 05/16/10

Katie and I enjoyed the spring like weather and did a 40 mile bike loop up to Edmonds, Brier, Kenmore and Lake Forest Park, down to Ballard and back to Ravenna. No pictures were taken.

Exit 38 (Peanacle Wall) - 05/15/10

Katie and I went up to Exit 38 for the first time of the season and we were definitely rusty. We thought we would hike up to Bob's area for the first time, although lots of other folks had the same idea and there were lines up and down the wall. We managed to squeeze in 4 routes which we both lead.

Mount Walker - 03/27/10

Katie and I hiked up Mount Walker again to get one more look at the summit and decide if we want to get married up there. We were definitely sold on the idea until we spoke about how the reveal would work with potential strangers. No pictures were taken.

Kenmore/Brier Bike Loop - 03/06/10

Katie and I enjoyed the spring like weather and did a 33 mile bike loop up to Edmonds, Brier, Kenmore and Lake Forest Park and back. Definitely a good first ride of the season. No pictures were taken.

Rogers Pass BC Ski - 02/17-21/10

Matt, Tim, Kevin and I went up north to Rogers Pass for more of the legendary creamy powder. It was a year ago that I first went up to Rogers Pass and instantly became addicted. So when the chance came to go again, I had to jump on it. We had blue bird days ahead, however the snowpack was very twitchy so we had to stay off steep slopes. Once we learned what we can and can not do, excellent times were had even throughout all of the DH's, micro managing, and patriotic canadians, and figure dancing.

Day 1: We completed the Little Sifton Traverse, up the Grizzly Shoulder and down the Hermit Valley. Pictures can be found at http://alpinenapping.com/main.php/v/mountains/2010/rogerspass-02_18_10/

Day 2: We completed the Dome Traverse, up Loop Brook and the Lilly Glacier and down the Dome Glacier to the Asulkan Valley. Pictures can be found at http://alpinenapping.com/main.php/v/mountains/2010/rogerspass-02_19_10/

Day 3: We all made it up to the Illecillewaet Glacier, however the rest of the gang went up to a col between Mount Sir Donald and Terminal Peak, while I explored the area, took a few laps below Pearly Rock, and hung out with a local and a guy from Vermont. Moonlight Bowl BC Ski - 02/11/10

Brandon and I went up to Stevens Pass again for some more backcountry skiing. We went up to Skyline Ridge, took one run down, then back up and down and headed over to Moonlight Bowl for a few more laps. Snoqualmie Lift Skiing - 01/24/10

Katie and I went up to Snoqualmie Pass for some lift skiing. We decided to go to Snoqualmie West first for Katie to get her legs back and soon enough she was mastering all of the runs there and we were off to Snoqualmie Central for more action. A temporary whiteout and icy conditions forced us back when we were trying to traverse to central from west, but soon enough we were getting off the shuttle and heading up central's lifts. By the end of the day, Katie was back skiing like a pro. No pictures were taken.

Moonlight Bowl BC Ski - 01/18/10

Brandon and I headed out the next day in search of more good snow. This time it was just the two of us because Katie had to work. We went straight for Stevens Pass again, but this time we went across the street to Skyline Ridge to ski the Moonlight Bowl. We were just about to leave the parking lot when I realized the zipper on my bibs broke and one of my legs was completely open. We searched the parking lot for more duct tape and was able to patch my pants for the day, although I basically wrapped my leg like a splint. We quickly made it to the ridge and descended into the bowl. It was really warm out and the snow was heavy but still very skiable and fun. Yodelin BC Ski - 01/17/10

Katie, Brandon, Bandit and I headed out for Stevens Pass to ski at Yodelin. Neither of us had ever been there and we thought at one point we were off track, but it turned out we were in the right spot. We found much better conditions then expected and had a great day out. Unfortunately, we got onto the wrong road down low and ended up a few miles from our car. After trying to skin next to the highway, we gave up and I ended up walking the road by myself after no car would stop to give me a ride. Soon enough I was rounding the bend and the car was in sight. Katie's 28th Bday - 01/14/10

We celebrated Katie's 28th birthday by going out to dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant in Wallingford and then by having a party at our house the following Saturday Night. It was great to celebrate with her and all of her friends. Even her parents made it out for the party.
